DAY 1: SATURDAY

  • Mindfulness as an individual and relational practice

  • Meditation

  • Co-creating a trauma-informed space

  • Exploring being a compassionate witness

  • Engaging in compassionate listening

  • Mindful journaling

  • Exploring anchors during meditation

  • Witnessing self-talk vs. Believing self-talk

  • Mindful Movement

  • Mindfulness in Education

  • Embodying presence

  • Exploring what gets in the way of presence

  • Body Scan

DAY 2: SUNDAY

  • Sitting meditation

  • Mindful walking

  • Small group sharing

  • Tools to return to a place of presence

  • Exploring self-compassion

  • Guided imagery

  • Mindful Journaling

  • Applying mindfulness to your work-setting

  • Exploring intentions

  • Mindful movement

  • Sitting meditation


HOMEWORK

  • Registered participants can earn 12 CEUs and 12 clock hours toward professional development units upon completion of the training.

  • Certificate of completion provided by Peace in Schools.

  • This course offers one semester hour from Lewis & Clark College for those interested in pursuing graduate credit. To receive credit, students will need to submit the following at the end of the training:

    • Completion of required reading assignment

    • A 3-page final paper reflecting on the required academic reading and their direct experience of mindfulness within the duration of the program.
