Nervous System Reset: Coming Home to Yourself and the Heart of Teaching

You won’t want to miss this in-person opportunity with Peace in Schools!

If you are an educator or youth-serving professional, we invite you to join us for an interactive workshop where we’ll pause, rest, and practice mindfulness in a community of care. We’ll share specific practices that can support you in finding a felt sense of groundedness and stability amid the chaos. Together, we’ll tap into a sense of okayness that remains undisturbed.

This training offers participants an opportunity to experience:

  • Restorative, relational practices that foster a felt-sense of connection

  • Grounding practices that support you in remembering you are whole

  • A 20-minute Curriculum for educators to support students in transitioning after a heightened situation

This training includes:

  • Trauma-informed practices to assist in regulating the nervous system

  • Understanding the brain and its response to stress

  • Evidence-based strategies to support students and staff in transitioning back to learning after an activating situation

Participants will walk away with a 20-minute toolkit of simple, practical, and research-based approaches to support students of any age in regulating the nervous system and transitioning back to learning.
