Zakiya Rhodes (she/her)
Program Director

Zakiya brings a wealth of experience in management, operations, and partnerships to her role as Program Director. She is unapologetically passionate about equity and racial justice and lives by the words of Angela Davis: “I am no longer accepting the things I cannot change. I am changing the things I cannot accept”. She deeply believes in pushing back against a system that marginalizes the non-dominant culture. She views leadership through a holistic, equitable, supportive lens, radically discarding the notion of the typical white supremacy work culture. Zakiya has a personal mindfulness practice that helps her parenting, as well as giving her the time and space to be still. An Ohio native, she received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Mount Union (formerly Mount Union College). When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time on the roller derby flat track, drinking a glass (or two) of wine, and being in the outdoors with her husband and two children.
